As its the new year now and everyone is doing the whole new year new me thing, I think one of the best things to do with your resolutions is to set out a new morning routine which will set out your thinking and vibes for the rest of the day.

To ensure you make the most out of your free time in a morning before work you can do follow the next few steps and see if you can keep it up. They say that by doing a routine for 30 days it should then start becoming second nature to you and you do it without thinking. Nevertheless this is not easy so you have to fit the snooze button, throw back the marshmallow covers and get your butt out of bed and get going!


Something which I find to be very time saving is that I plan the next day I have the night before. Plan your outfit (Not necessarily lay out the outfit, just figure out what you want to wear) so you can get up and get changed without wasting an hour staring at your overly packed clothes rail moaning that you have nothing to wear! I plan everything, from the time I need to get up, what my workout is going to be, what my brekkie will be, prep a lunch if i want to take a pack up to work & check my diary to see if I'm at work or on my course as to what time I need to set off from home. You will probably find you will sleep better too as your conscience is free and not on overdrive thinking of all the things you have to do in the morning! 


Yes I know, easier said than done especially in this cold dark weather. However by getting up earlier you can accomplish so much more so by the evening when you come home from work you can truly relax and have some me time. Currently I get up at 6:30, 2 hours before I have to leave my house for work. Weekends obviously abit later but I try to have the same amount of sleep 8hrs. 


I have recently starting working out again as you will all know if you follow my instagram/twitter & I find that doing my workout before I start my day leaves me feeling so much more energized & as thought I can really conquer whatever the day throws at me! You may be thinking how the hell do I fit in a workout before work right? I thought the same but there are so many amazing apps out there which are like 7 Minute HIIT workouts... so if you get your outfit prepped the day before there you have an extra 7 minutes in a morning to get into shape! If you make up an excuse not to do even 7 minutes of exercise a day then may as well hit the snooze button ha! 


Now we have made time for you to get up earlier, have breakfast, go to the gym or workout and get ready in plenty of time for work, you can think about creating a list of things you need to accomplish for the rest of the day. I like to do this so I know I don't forget anything and means I can make sure my day is productive. I like to set aside some time on a Sunday to plan my week ahead for activities, workouts, foods & anything out of the ordinary schedule that I may be doing so I can clearly see where I can pencil in some relaxing me time. You should set aside one night a week where you truly pamper and relax to rejuvenate your body. There is nothing worse than becoming overly exhausted by trying to cram too much into your daily routine!
